What is GroupLink?
GroupLink is your opportunity to choose community and not do life alone. It's a two-hour event with the goal of forming new small groups. Our team will be there to help you navigate the process; so come, meet new people, enjoy some snacks, and see how God works in community.
Why do small groups matter?
Small Groups are where we pursue healthy relationships and help one another take steps to follow Jesus. If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you need to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal—and a Small Group is the ideal place for that. In a Small Group, eight to ten adults meet regularly for a year or more to pursue spiritual growth and healthy relationships. You’ll be encouraged to live out the truths you discover in the Bible as you encourage others to do the same.
The first step in joining a Small Group is attending a GroupLink event!
Basic Small Group Information to Know:
All groups meet for an 8 week trial, followed by 12-18 months if they choose to continue with one another. This allows you to try a group before committing to it.
Groups typically meet three or four times in a month.
Most of our groups meet socially around holiday seasons.
Each group starts with provided curriculum and then chooses the next topic of interest.
New for Fall of 2019: Online Groups
This fall we will be launching our first online groups. What’s an online group? It’s a group that will meet primarily online through a group video call. The group dynamics and rhythms will be very similar to in-person groups but group meetings will mostly take place online. We still think that an in-person group is the option we would hope most people would try, but we understand that it just isn’t always possible for everyone. Online groups are specifically designed for people who for one reason or another, can’t make an in-person group work. An online group could be a viable option for people with health or mobility issues who can’t leave their home easily. It could be an option for folks who might live or work outside of the Verde Valley and don’t have the capacity to travel here during the week to meet with others in-person. It could be an option for parents with young children who struggle with finding weekly childcare. If an online group is something you’d like to try out, please register below and check the option that says you’re interested in an “Online Group.” When you arrive at GroupLink on August 18th, we will introduce you to your other group members.
Sunday, August 18th at 6:00pm
On the night of GroupLink, free childcare is available for children 5th grade and under.
