Small Group Information

Why do small groups matter?

The purpose of small groups is to connect people in authentic relationships that lead to spiritual growth from where you are now to where God wants you to be. Small groups play a vital role in helping relationships flourish in our church. When we live life with others in this way we are known, loved, cared for, pursued, encouraged, and challenged to be more like Christ.

Who are small groups for?

It is our goal to provide:

  • Married Small Groups for married couples that would like to be in a group together

  • Men’s-only Small Groups and Women’s-only Small Groups for either single adults or married adults who will not be participating in a married group with their spouse.

Basic Small Group Information to Know:

  • All groups meet for an 8 week trial period. At the end of the 8 weeks, groups can choose to continue with one another or participants can step out to explore other group options. This allows you to try a group before committing to it.

  • Small Groups meet in homes.

  • Groups typically meet three or four times in a month.

  • Most of our groups meet socially around holiday seasons.

  • Each group starts with provided curriculum and then chooses the next topic of interest.

How can I join a small group?

There are two main ways to join a small group:

  • The first is attending a GroupLink event (read below for details). The purpose of GroupLink is to form new small groups. Our goal is to connect you with people like yourself who want a deeper connection with people in our church. Our volunteers will attempt to guide attendees to others in similar stages of life, similar geographic areas of the Verde Valley, and/or people available to meet on similar nights. We usually hold two events each year, one in January and another in August. You must register for GroupLink before attending.

  • The second way is to contact us using the button below! We know that you might want to find a small group between our GroupLink events. When possible, we may invite you to join an existing small group that has space for more. We also occasionally create new small groups when we have enough interest in forming a new group. Regardless, we’ll follow up with you to discuss what opportunities may be available to you.

What is GroupLink?

GroupLink is your opportunity to choose community and not do life alone. It's a 90-minute event with the goal of forming new small groups. Our team will be there to help you navigate the process; so come, meet new people, enjoy some snacks, and see how God works in community.
