We are FOR the Verde Valley
For far too long the church has been known for what we’re against. We should be known for what we are FOR.
We are FOR our schools. We are FOR our businesses. We are FOR adults, students and children. We are FOR people. The reason we are FOR people is because God is FOR them.
We believe that being FOR our community begins with engaging it. The following are some of the ways we are attempting to do just that.
Supporting LOCAL FAMILIES
We invite you to join our team as our church engages the Arizona child welfare system by caring for those that need to experience the love of Jesus at a pivotal time in their lives. We have a team that attempts to meet the needs of local families to intervene before a child enters care or helps keep the child with a kinship placement (family that they already know, rather than a foster home). Manzanita Outreach
We love partnering with local organizations who are doing amazing things. Manzanita Outreach is one of those organizations. They are working throughout the Verde Valley to literally make sure that no one goes without food. Through weekly food sharing events, home food deliveries, and emergency food box distributions, Manzanita is making a difference in our community. We love what they are doing and try to help by volunteering with them in all kinds of ways. Dozens of folks from VVCC volunteer each week with Manzanita programs. OLD TOWN MISSION
Old Town Mission’s mission statement is this: “We are a Christian faith-in-action outreach that empowers, sustains, inspires, and shares the love of God. We serve our neighbors in the Verde Valley who are in need by providing food and clothing, community events, and various resources.”
HOUSE OF RUTH
The House of Ruth Pregnancy Care Center is a Christian ministry dedicated to serving women and families and to protecting the lives of unborn children. Their goal is to demonstrate the love of Christ by assisting with emotional, spiritual, physical and material needs, enabling women to make healthy, life-affirming choices throughout pregnancy and beyond.
