We are FOR the Verde Valley

For far too long the church has been known for what we’re against. We should be known for what we are for.

We are FOR our schools. We are FOR our businesses. We are FOR adults, students and children.  We are FOR people. The reason we are FOR people is because God is FOR them.

We believe that being FOR our community begins with engaging it. The following are some of the ways we are attempting to do just that.

Picnic in the Park

Picnic in the Park aims to provide a dinner for the local homeless population once per week. VVCC is one of many local churches and other organizations that have come together to make sure this is a consistent offering every Friday night at Riverfront Park. We ask for volunteers to bring food and drinks and/or help serve the meal and visit with the people we get to serve. Foster Care & Adoption

Interested in serving vulnerable kids and families in our community?

We invite you to join our team as our church engages the Arizona child welfare system by caring for those that need to experience the love of Jesus at a pivotal time in their lives. There are a number of ways to serve, including: donating supplies, bringing meals to newly placed kids and their families, or becoming a foster or adoptive family. HOPE FOR ADDICTION

Hope for Addiction exists to walk alongside, equip and care for those who struggle with addiction. There is hope - and lasting change is possible. So often, people are lost in the hopelessness of their addiction but through Christ’s work on the cross there is freedom. We have the unique privilege to serve people who have been conditioned by our culture to think that they are “sick” with a disease and have been told that no one understands their problem. “Hope for Addiction" is a weekly support group meeting focused on helping people meet Jesus, who has the power to transform and give hope. The Verde Valley Christian Church chapter meets on Thursday evenings at 6:00pm and is open to all.
